BROWNIES
1/2 C butter or margarine, melted (1 stick)
1 C sugar
1 t vanilla
2 eggs
(2 eggs for fudgie brownies or 3 eggs for cake-like brownies)
1/2 C flour
1/3 C cocoa
1/4 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
Heat oven to 350°F
Grease 9-inch square baking pan. (We used an 8x8 pan and it was fine)
Stir together butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon.
Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually
add to egg mixture, beating until well blended.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away
from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
