Sent home felt sewing kits - we ran out of time at the troop meeting. Girls need to TRY the
kits at home. They don't need to be perfect - but the girls need to "try-it". Let Rebecca know when completed
so girls can earn the Try-It badge.

Girls received a sewing kit and we talked about what was in it. Learned how to use a needle threader. Started
learning how to cross-stitch.

Because this is a family patch - if ANY Girl Scout in a family earns the patch, all Girl
Scout siblings (and parents) have the right to wear the patch. Debbie's troop (781) gives number buttons (for
each year) along with the patch. We wanted to be able to recognize girls who have earned the patch through troop 277
- so we will distribute a gold star for each year the patch is earned with our troop. Here is a
